The OEP24 Family [Function: Non-specific channels] Seed alignment | Full alignment in OMPdb
OEP24 forms a high conductance solute track with a diameter of 2.5 nm. Functional studies stated that the voltage-dependent anion channel can be replaced by OEP24 in yeast mitochondria. OEP24 is a voltage-dependent, high conductance, low cation-selective ion channel. Prediction algorithms and CD spectra revealed that, OEP24 has seven amphiphilic beta barrels.
